Catering Tenders

Bids must be delivered by the stipulated time to the correct address. Late bids will not be accepted for consideration. The closing date is 19 June 2026 at 12:00.

Quotations received will be assessed in accordance with the municipal supply chain management regulations, **** read with councils supply chain management policy and 80/20 evaluation criteria. Preference points will be allocated as follows: 80 points for price, 20 points for specific goals.

Requirements include a valid tax compliance status PIN, a copy of the company registration certificate, certified copies of company owners' ID books, proof of payment of municipal bill/rates accounts or formal lease agreement/letter from traditional authority, and a copy of the CSD detailed report.

The bid of any bidder may be rejected if that bidder, or any of its directors have abused the municipality's supply chain management system, committed any improper conduct, been convicted for fraud or corruption, willfully neglected to comply with a contract, or been listed in the register for tender defaulters.

The closing date for bid submissions is 23 June 2026 at 11:00 AM.

Payment will be made within 30 days after receipt of an invoice accompanied by the delivery note.

The warranty period is twelve 12 months after the goods have been delivered and accepted, or eighteen 18 months after the date of shipment, whichever concludes earlier.

The quote will be evaluated based on administrative compliance, compliance to non-negotiable requirements, and price/specific goals (80/20 system).

The company must be registered as a catering equipment supplier and maintainer, have experienced qualified technicians, be registered with the Workman's Compensation Fund, and submit at least three contactable references of similar work supplied in the last 12 months to the value of R500,000 or more.

If the supplier fails to deliver within the specified periods, the purchaser may deduct a penalty from the contract price, calculated on the delivered price of the delayed goods or unperformed services.

Successful bidders must supply a sample upon award, and the recommended supplier will be requested to provide a sample before delivery of the actual order.

Failure to provide required particulars may render the quote invalid. Bids from persons in the service of the state or companies with directors in the service of the state will not be considered.
