The South African Weather Service (SAWS) is seeking a service provider for the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a vehicle management system for five motor vehicles for the Department Air Quality Services (D: AQS) for a period of three years. The system should provide real-time tracking, reduce maintenance and fuel costs, and include hardware and software upgrades. Bids are due by July 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM. A mandatory site visit will be conducted for due diligence. The evaluation will be in four phases: SCM administrative requirements, mandatory technical requirements, functional evaluation, and price and specific goals. The bid will be awarded to the bidder scoring the highest points.
Responses to this RFQ must be submitted before the closing date and time indicated on the cover page of the RFQ, which is 07 July 2026 at 11:00 am.
Unless stated otherwise in this RFQ or as mutually agreed upon by both parties prior to award of the RFQ, all payments due to creditors for goods delivered services rendered will be settled within thirty (30) days from receipt of an invoice.
The RFQ will be awarded to the bidder scoring the highest points, subject to section 21f of the preferential procurement policy framework act, **** act no 5 of ****.
Bidders must be registered on the CSD database and provide their CSD registration number. They must also submit a completed and signed Annexure A and SBD 3. 3. If points are claimed, a valid BBBEE certificate, sworn affidavit, or SBD 6. 1 preference points claim form with relevant supporting documentation is required. SARS tax matters must be in order.
A due diligence site visit will be carried out at the premises of the service provider before the awarding of the tender. The saws might also conduct a site visit to the office.
Failure to submit required documentation, including a completed Annexure A and SBD 3. 3, or if tax matters are not in order, may result in disqualification. Any effort to influence the award decision may also lead to rejection.
The RFQ is for requirements up to R500 000.
