This is an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the provision of bus transportation services for Eskom employees. The services are required on a daily basis to and from Duvha Power Station, covering various areas including Witbank and Middelburg. The contract duration is for 60 months. Submissions must be made electronically via the Eskom e-tendering site by the closing date and time. A non-compulsory clarification meeting will be held on MS Teams on 24 April 2026 at 10:00 AM. Tenderers must ensure their submissions are complete and submitted before the closing time. Various annexures are required to be completed and submitted with the tender, including authorization forms, integrity declarations, and preference point claim forms. Technical evaluation criteria include insurance documents, taxi association registration, letter of good standing, roadworthy certificates, maintenance records, previous work experience, and compliance with Eskom's vehicle safety specification. The evaluation will also consider specific goals related to BBBEE, local procurement, job creation, and skills development. Eskom's standard payment terms are 30 days for contracts below R50 million and 60 days for contracts above R50 million, after receipt of undisputed invoices.
The closing date and time for tender submission is 15 May 2026 at 10:00 AM. Late tenders will not be accepted.
For contracts valued below R50,000,000, Eskom is committed to paying suppliers within 30 days of receipt of undisputed invoices. For contracts valued above R50,000,000, Eskom is committed to paying suppliers within 60 days of receipt of undisputed invoices.
The contract must be awarded to the tenderer scoring the highest points, based on a combination of price and specific goals (BBBEE, local content, job creation, skills development).
Tenderers must meet eligibility criteria, including not being under restriction to do business with Eskom or state-owned companies, not having a conflict of interest, and submitting a complete tender with commercial, financial, and technical information. Specific technical requirements include a minimum of 80 points in the technical evaluation.
Eskom will apply a penalty of 2% of the invoice amount for failure to meet SDLI obligations. Eskom will also retain 2% of every invoice (excluding VAT) as security for the fulfillment of all SDLI obligations.
A non-compulsory clarification meeting will be held on MS Teams on 24 April 2026 at 10:00 AM.
The tenderer will notify Eskom of any clarifications required before the closing time for clarification queries, which is 10 working days before the deadline for tender submission.
