Electric Battery Tenders

The closing date for tenders is 31 August 2026 at 12:00.

The tender will be evaluated in terms of the 80/20 preference points system: Price 80, B-BBEE status level of contribution 10, Locality 10.

Tenderers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 4 EP or 4 EB or higher.

A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on 13 August 2026 at 11:00 at the civil department, boardroom A, Ecclesia building, 1st floor, 71 Plein Street, Stellenbosch. Tenderers who fail to attend will be regarded as non-compliant.

Failure to attend the compulsory information session may result in disqualification. Tenders not accompanied by a complete tender document will not be considered. Late, electronic format, telephonic or faxed tenders will not be considered. No award will be made to tenderers whose tax status is non-compliant.

Quotations must be submitted via email by 11 August 2026 at 11:00 AM. if the quotation is late, it shall not be accepted for consideration.

The bid will be evaluated based on price (80%) and specific goals (20%). The bid will be evaluated as follows: 4. 1. Phase 1: Mandatory requirements Criteria only bidders that have complied with the mandatory criteria will be evaluated on commercial 4. 2 Phase 2: Commercial evaluation Price 80 and specific goals 20

Bidders must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in UPS maintenance, provide certified technicians with OEM training, and have public liability insurance. The bidder must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in ups maintenance and Certified technicians oem training preferred i. e. eaton or equivalent manufacturer training and Provide public liability insurance.

Failure to follow instructions, late submissions, or not complying with mandatory requirements will result in disqualification. Failure to follow these instructions will result in your quote not being considered. and if the quotation is late, it shall not be accepted for consideration. and Failure to comply will result in disqualification of the bid.

Bids must be submitted by Monday, 07th September 2026, at 14:00.

The contract includes a 24-month defects liability period.

The contract will be awarded to the tenderer who scores the highest number of tender evaluation points, based on price and preference points.

Tenderers must have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 7EP or higher and attend the compulsory briefing session.

A compulsory site visit is required. Bidders must visit the permit office at least one hour prior to obtain access cards and must bring an original ID document and a reflective jacket.

Enquiries and clarification requests must be submitted by Friday, 21st August 2026, at 15:00.

Failure to comply with mandatory requirements, submitting late bids, or engaging in corrupt or fraudulent practices may lead to disqualification.
