Services commence within 5 working days after the acceptance of the appointment.

The successful bidders to ensure compliance with section 204 of the value added tax vat act, 89 of ****.

Upon completion of the work, the successful bidder shall provide: a detailed inspection and service report. a detailed list of all repairs undertaken. a list of all parts and components replaced. a report on any major components repaired or replaced. warranty details for all workmanship and replacement parts.

The evaluation criteria is based on the total amount, with the **** points system applied, where 80 is for price and 20 for specific goals.

Bidders must submit proof of experience in the repair and maintenance of earthmoving equipment, supported by relevant 2 completion certificates, or 2 reference letters, and a valid CIDB contractor grading designation of 1me or higher.

Failure to comply with this delivery requirement shall constitute a material breach of contract and will result in the cancellation of the bid and/or purchase order.

A compulsory site inspection will take place as follows: date: friday, 7 august 2026 time: 10: 00 venue: ndlambe municipality workshop municipal yard in station road, Port Alfred.

The recommended bidder will be required to provide samples, at their own cost to ensure the quoted items comply with the specifications of the municipality.

Late submitted, unmarked, faxed, falsified or emailed offers will not be considered and will be disqualified.

The estimated total value is between R30 000 and R300 000.

Suppliers are requested to offer their earliest delivery period possible. Delivery will be affected within the specified working days from the date of order.

PRASA pays for the item within 30 days of receipt of the supplier's correct tax invoice.

The supplier warrants that the items are in accordance with PRASA's requirements and fit for the purpose for which they are intended, and will remain free from defects for a period of one year unless another period is stated in the order from acceptance of the items by PRASA.

PRASA will utilise a price and specific goals evaluation criteria, with a weighting of 80% for price and 20% for specific goals.

Bidders must submit a company registration document, copies of directors' ID documents, a valid tax clearance certificate, a CSD supplier registration number, and proof of bank account. Joint venture agreements are required if applicable.

Late deliveries or late completion of items may be subject to a penalty if imposed in the order contract.

Failure to provide mandatory returnable documents, non-compliance with tax obligations, not being registered on the CSD, or submitting incomplete bids can lead to disqualification.
