The procurement process can be postponed or cancelled. Bids not completed correctly may be rejected. Foodbev Seta reserves the right to negotiate and may not accept the lowest bid. A contract is concluded upon written agreement and signature. Foodbev Seta may enter into multiple contracts. All bidders will be informed of bid status. Requests for information will be handled according to policy. Bids may be rejected for corrupt or fraudulent acts, or abuse of the SCM system. General conditions of contract must be accepted. Additional information may be requested within 2 working days. Confidentiality of bid information is required. Copyright of documentation belongs to the client. Noncompliance with delivery terms may result in remedies. Bidders warrant their ability to conclude the agreement. Waivers do not prejudice remedies. Documentation must be handed over upon termination. Amendments must be in writing. Suppliers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide proof of registration or application. Bids without CSD registration will not be awarded. Bidders must complete all necessary bid documents concisely and in plain English. Information not submitted in the relevant part may not be considered. SARS tax clearance certificates are required for all parties involved. Declaration of Interest must be completed and signed. Preference Points Claim Form must be completed and signed with supporting documents. Invitation to Bid must be completed and signed. Pricing Schedule must be completed with all costs included. Bids without a price or with an incomplete price will be deemed nonresponsive. Registration certificates with professional bodies are required. Proof of authority must be submitted for the signatory. Failure to submit proof for specific goals will result in zero points. The organ of state may require substantiation of preference claims. Definitions for tender, price, rand value, and income-generating contracts are provided. The 80/20 preference point system is used for price. Points are awarded for specific goals as stated in the tender.
