Oil Distribution Tenders

The tender is for the purchase and removal of used transformer oil in the Gauteng Operating Unit for a 36-month period. The closing date for submissions is February 17, 2026, at 10:00. A non-compulsory clarification meeting will take place on September 15, 2025. Tenderers must submit documents electronically via the Eskom e-tendering site. The tender validity period is 12 weeks. The tender data takes precedence over the standard conditions of tender in the event of any ambiguity or inconsistency between the two documents. The tenderer must meet the eligibility criteria and submit a complete tender with commercial information and mandatory commercial tender returnables by the stipulated deadlines. Prices will be evaluated inclusive of VAT, corrected for arithmetical errors, and adjusted for any other acceptable variations. The evaluation will also consider specific goals in accordance with the PPPFA. The tenderers will be ranked by applying the preferential point scoring for the 80/20 system. Mandatory contractual requirements include proof of CSD registration and a completed price schedule. Additional requirements may include SHEQ requirements. The conditions of the contract will be the other contractual conditions. Eskom reserves the right to negotiate with preferred bidders. Main contractors are discouraged from subcontracting with their subsidiary companies. The tenderer must submit the returnables as part of its tender at the stipulated deadline. Late tenders will not be accepted.
