Tenderers must submit quotations for the supply and delivery of electrical luminaires. Quotation documents are available from the Supply Chain Management Unit offices. A non-refundable tender fee is required. Sealed quotations must be placed in the tender box by the specified date and time. The validity period is ninety days. The evaluation criteria is an 80/20 preference point system. A compulsory site inspection/tender briefing meeting is required. A valid tax clearance certificate and CSD registration are required. Penalties will be applied for late delivery. The council does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any quotation.
The notice states that upon any delay in delivery beyond the tendered delivery period, the council shall be entitled forthwith to purchase services of the same description as and in lieu of those specified to be supplied, or forthwith to cancel the contract and to purchase elsewhere such materials as may be required during the contract period and the contractor shall bear any difference in price between any materials so purchased and the tendered price.
Payment will be made by the chief financial officer within 30 days on receipt of a certificate of payment issued by the engineer and will be made by means of a cheque drawn upon the councils bankers in pietermaritzburg.
Tenderers shall be evaluated on a **** preference point system in accordance with the msunduzi municipalitys supply chainmanagement policy incorporating preferential procurement as prescribed in terms of thepreferential procurement regulations 2022, pertaining to the preferential procurement policyframework act, act no. 5 of ****, including chapter 4 of the public procurement act no. 28 of2024.
Tenderers are required to submit details of their management, office and supervisory resources, training programmes, yard and office facilities, fulltime work force including trainees, and plantand equipment for adjudication purposes.
In the event of late delivery, penalties in the amount of **** per calendar day shall be levied.
Where in the tender document reference is made to a compulsory site inspectiontender briefing meeting, the tenderer shall be required to attend the meeting prompt on the date and time mentioned in the tender document.
In the event of samples being required, all samples supplied shall be at no extra cost to council.
The validity period shall hold firm for ninety 90 days commencing from closing date of thequotation.
