Molding Tenders

The tender is for the provision of medical-grade injection-moulded parts for the CSIR's UmbiFlow medical device for one year. Proposals must be submitted electronically by February 5, 2026. The contract will be awarded to the bidder who scores the highest total number of points during the evaluation process. The evaluation criteria include elimination criteria, technical evaluation criteria, and price and preference points evaluation. The evaluation criteria include technical compliance, experience, quality assurance, delivery timeframe, price, and specific goals. Transnet may request audited financial statements or other documentation for due diligence. Prices must be quoted in South African Rand inclusive of VAT. Delivery is to the foundry in Bloemfontein. Bidders must indicate their annual holiday closedown period and action to ensure continuity of supply during non-working days. A return policy for surplus goods is required. Manufacturers of the goods must be stated. Imported content value and percentage, and country of origin, must be provided. Transnet may consider raising debt financing with export credit agency (ECA) support. Compliance with the National Railway Safety Regulator Act is required. Service levels of 95% are required for random checks, quality/quantity specifications, and on-time delivery. Transnet may engage in post-tender negotiations to achieve a market-related price.
