Why suppliers use BidHits

Filter tenders, save promising opportunities and ask questions about tender documents.

Frequently asked questions

It is a government tender search service for South Africa. Find opportunities related to what your business supplies, keep separate searches organised and receive email alerts.

Start with your email. Then add specific products or services and the locations you want to search. Your first monitoring group is created automatically, so you can get started without setting everything up.

No credit card is required and there are no automatic charges. Try the service for 14 days and choose a paid plan only if you decide to continue.

As soon as you save what you supply and your preferred locations, you can see matching tenders on the site. Start with that list and explore filters and other tools at your own pace.

Official portals remain the source for tender documents and requirements. BidHits combines smart search, provincial filters, groups and alerts to help you focus on relevant tenders before reviewing each notice. Try it with your own products and compare it with your current routine.

They are separate searches for different parts of your business. You could have one called Well-equipped workplaces and another called Growing in the Western Cape, each with its own products, services and locations. You choose the names. The number of groups depends on your trial or plan.

Every plan includes email alerts. The Essential plan sends alerts directly to your main email. The Professional and Advanced plans let you group email addresses into lists, such as Sales and Purchasing, then choose which list receives alerts from each monitoring group. Groups define what to track; lists define who receives it. Several groups can use the same list. List and additional email limits apply to the whole plan, not separately to each group or list.

Alerts send matching tenders to your registered email according to the schedule available in your trial or plan. You can adjust email settings. Results appear on the site after you save your products and locations; emails follow the sending schedule. Where several daily sending times are available, the schedule applies across all groups and lists.

Use specific product or service names, such as office chairs. Smart search helps connect your offer with other descriptions, such as pest control and insect and rodent management. AI can make mistakes: check whether each opportunity is relevant and adjust your search terms when needed.

Filter by location, procurement type, dates and values, view opportunities on the map and save relevant tenders as favourites. Add private notes so you can pick up your review later.

Yes. The AI assistant answers questions about documents the system can read, within the question limit for your trial or plan. It supports your review; check the answers against the tender documents and the official source.

Look for the document or official notice link in the opportunity. If the source portal requires a login or restricts direct access, you may need to open the procurement page and download the documents there.

If you do not choose a paid plan, the tender list becomes limited. Nothing is charged automatically. You decide whether to subscribe and continue with the features of your chosen plan.

Human support is available for questions about access, searches, monitoring groups and settings. Start with the basics and explore other tools at your own pace.

Yes. The API is included in the Professional and Advanced plans, with one key per account and a separate API request allowance shared across its sessions. See the API documentation.
