Umgungundlovu Economic Development Agency (UMEDA) is establishing a panel of wellness specialists for a period of three years. The services include occupational health medical testing, medical evaluation referrals, pension fund medical testing, and psychological assessments. Proposals are due by 11 August 2026 at 12:00. Evaluation will be based on functionality (previous experience and capacity/expertise) and then the 80/20 preference points system. A minimum of 70 points is required for functionality to be considered responsive. Medical practitioners must have MBChB with an additional qualification in occupational health and valid registration with the HPCSA.
Proposals must be submitted no later than 12:00 on 11 August 2026.
Payments shall be made promptly by the purchaser, but in no case later than thirty 30 days after submission of an invoice or claim by the supplier.
The supplier warrants that the goods supplied under the contract are new, unused, of the most recent or current models, and that they incorporate all recent improvements in design and materials. This warranty shall remain valid for twelve 12 months after the goods have been delivered and accepted.
Tenders will be evaluated on functionality criteria (previous experience and capacity/expertise) and then the 80/20 preference points system, with 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals.
The occupational health medical testing practitioner must possess MBChB with an additional qualification in occupational health and a valid registration certificate from the Medical Health Professions Council (HPCSA).
Failure to complete required goods and/or services by the due completion date may result in the deduction of a penalty calculated on the delivered price of the delayed goods or unperformed services.
Bidders scoring less than 70 points out of 100 for functionality will be disqualified. Late, faxed, or emailed bids will not be considered. Failure to provide required documentation or meet eligibility criteria may also lead to disqualification.
