Tenders are invited for the installation of mosaic wall tiling at the Duiker Street, Struisbaai beach shower facility. Bidders must be registered with the CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) at a contractor grading designation equal to or higher than 1 GB or higher. A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on 06 October 2025 at 12h00, at the Struisbaai municipal office. Tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope, externally endorsed with the tender number, description, and closing date of the tender, and deposited in the tender box at the municipal offices or posted to the municipal manager. A tax compliance status PIN issued by SARS must be submitted with the tender. The municipality is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender. The tender offer validity period is 90 days. The closing date for submission of tenders is 17 October 2025 at 12h00.
Payments shall be made in rand unless otherwise stipulated. The method and conditions of payment will be specified in the contract.
The warranty shall remain valid for twelve 12 months after the goods, or any portion thereof as the case may be, have been delivered to and accepted at the final destination indicated in the contract, or for eighteen 18 months after the date of shipment from the port or place of loading in the source country, whichever period concludes earlier, unless specified otherwise in scc.
Tenders will be evaluated in terms of the Cape Agulhas municipality supply chain management policy specific goals: 80% price, 20% preferential procurement.
Only tenderers who are registered with the CIDB or are capable of being so prior to the evaluation of submissions, in a contractor grading designation equal to or higher than a contractor grading designation determined in accordance with the sum tendered for a 1 GB or higher work, are eligible to submit tenders.
Should the tenderer withdraw its accepted tender prior to the expiry of the validity period, or refuse to accept and honour any order in acceptance of its tender, the tenderer will pay a penalty of R2 ****.
