Reservoir Tenders

Bids must be deposited in the tender box not later than 12:00 PM on 15 July 2026. ensure that your tender is submitted by 12h00pm on the closing date of the tender.

Bidders must have CIDB grades 6CE-7CE. They must also meet minimum conditions of tender, including experience on similar projects (minimum of R20 million in completed projects) and qualifications/experience of key personnel (Contracts Manager, Site Agent, Foreman). Bidders must have a stipulated minimum not applicable bbbee status level to prequalify for this bid and only bidders who score a minimum of 70 points on minimum conditions of tender will be evaluated further on price and specific goals.

A compulsory briefing meeting will take place on 19 July 2026 at 10:00 AM at the ground floor open foyer, O. R. Tambo offices, Myezo Park, Mthatha. A compulsory briefingclarification meeting with representatives of the municipality will take place on the aforementioned dates, times and venues.

Objections, complaints, queries and disputes must be lodged in writing within 14 days of the decision or action. Appeals must be submitted to the accounting officer within 21 days of notification. Persons aggrieved by decisions or actions taken by the municipality in the implementation of the supply chain management system, or any matter arising from a contract awarded in terms of the supply chain management system may, within 14 days of the decision or action, lodge a written objection or complaint or query or dispute against the decision or action.

Tenders may be rejected if they are incomplete, not signed, or if required documentation is missing. Failure to comply with tax compliance status requirements or engaging in corrupt/fraudulent acts will lead to disqualification. The bid will be rejected if the bidder fails to: complete fully the bid document or to provide the information requested, or to sign the bid at the appropriate spaces provided or next to errors.

Deliveries may be made during working hours: 08h00 to 15h00, but not on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, between 11 December and 11 January, or the last Friday of every month, unless otherwise agreed before delivery.

Payment will be made monthly on receipt of specified approved tax invoices. Payment will be done within 30 days of receipt and approval of the original invoice by depositing the payment directly into the bank account of the successful bidder. No cash or cheque payment will be done.

The supplier warrants that the goods supplied are new, unused, of the most recent or current models, and incorporate all recent improvements. The warranty remains valid for twelve 12 months after delivery and acceptance, or eighteen 18 months after shipment, whichever is earlier.

Bids will be evaluated based on the 80/20 preference points system, with 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals (women ownership, disability ownership, youth ownership, location of enterprise, and BBBEE status level).

Respondents must have a CIDB grading of 2CE or higher. Bidders must also be registered with the National Treasury's Central Supplier Database and be tax compliant with SARS.

If the bidder fails to supply the goods or render the service within the period stipulated in the contract, the department shall have the right to deduct a penalty as described in paragraph 22 of the National Treasury General Conditions of Contract.

Failure to submit mandatory documents, non-compliance with administrative or technical specifications, or providing false information in declarations may render the bid invalid or lead to disqualification.
