PRASA pays for the item within 30 days of receipt of the supplier's correct tax invoice.
The supplier warrants that the items are in accordance with PRASA's requirements, fit for the purpose for which they are intended, and will remain free from defects for a period of one year unless another period is stated in the order from acceptance of the items by PRASA.
PRASA will utilise evaluation criteria including compliance, price (80%), and specific goals (20%), with a minimum threshold of 80% for the total score. PRASA reserves the right to award business to the highest scoring bidders unless objective criteria justify the award to another bidder.
Bidders must be tax compliant and registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD). Mandatory returnable documents include a quotation on company letterhead and an RMI certificate. Other mandatory documents include SARS PIN, completed RFP documentation, CSD number, and certified ID copies of directors.
Late deliveries or late completion of the items may be subject to a penalty if this is imposed in the order contract.
