Playground Tenders

The contract period for horticultural maintenance, cleaning, clearing, weeding, and litter picking services is for a period ending 30 June 2029.

The bid notice states that payment will be made within thirty 30 days after submission of an invoice, statement or claim by the supplier.

The bid notice states that the supplier warrants that the goods supplied under the contract are new, unused, of the most recent or current models, and that they incorporate all recent improvements in design and materials unless provided otherwise in the contract.

This bid will be evaluated and adjudicated according to the following criteria: relevant specifications, value for money, capability to execute the contract, and PPPFA associated regulations.

Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and no award will be made to tenderers whose tax status is noncompliant.

Subject to GCC clause 25, if the supplier fails to deliver any or all of the goods or to perform the services within the periods specified in the contract, the purchaser shall, without prejudice to its other remedies under the contract, deduct from the contract price, as a penalty, a sum calculated on the delivered price of the delayed goods or unperformed services using the current prime interest rate calculated for each day of the delay until actual delivery or performance.

A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on the 01 June 2026 at 11:00 am at Town Hall, 17 Plein Street in Stellenbosch. Tenderers who fail to attend the compulsory information session will be regarded as noncompliant.

Tenders may only be submitted on the tender document issued by Stellenbosch Municipality and must be valid for 180 days after tender closing. Late, electronic format, telephonic or faxed tenders will not be considered.

The bid notice specifies submission dates for tenders, with the latest closing date being 29 May 2026 for most contracts. For ****, the submission dates are between 18 May 2026 and 20 May 2026. The bid validity will be 120 days from the closing date.

The bid notice states that he lowest, or any tender will not necessarily be accepted, and Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo reserve the right to accept any tender either in whole or in part.

To qualify for consideration, potential service providers must attend the compulsory site briefing session and complete the specifications/terms of reference as per the tender document where applicable.

Compulsory briefing sessions will be held and followed by an inspection of the sites applicable as per the schedule below. Bidders who fail to attend the compulsory site briefing session will not be considered.
