Deliveries will be required within 14 days after receipt of the official order.

Payment will be made monthly on receipt of specified tax invoices. Payment will be done within 30 days of receipt and approval of original invoice by depositing the payment directly into the bank account of the successful bidder.

The goods supplied under the contract are warranted to be new, unused, of the most recent or current models, and to incorporate all recent improvements in design and materials. This warranty shall remain valid for twelve (12) months after the goods have been delivered and accepted.

Bids will be evaluated based on the 80/20 preference points system, where a maximum of 80 points will be awarded for price and a maximum of 20 points for specific goals.

Bidders must be registered with National Treasury's Central Supplier Database, be tax compliant with SARS, and be actively registered with the Company and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).

If the supplier fails to deliver any or all of the goods or to perform the services within the periods specified in the contract, the purchaser shall, without prejudice to its other remedies under the contract, deduct from the contract price, as a penalty, a sum calculated on the delivered price of the delayed goods or unperformed services.

A compulsory briefing session is scheduled for 23 July 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mthatha Dam Construction East Site Offices. Failure to attend will render the bid nonresponsive.

Failure to attend the compulsory site briefing, failure to submit mandatory documents, or late bid submissions may result in disqualification.
