Appointment of a panel of up to seven (7) CIDB-graded SO3 and SO4 plumbing maintenance contractors for plumbing maintenance services on an as-and-when-required basis. The panel will be valid for six (6) months or until the financial threshold is reached. Bids will be evaluated in three stages: administrative and mandatory compliance, functionality (minimum 70 points), and price and preference points (80/20 system). Mandatory documents include CIDB grading, tax compliance, and PIRB registration. Payment terms are 30 days in arrears upon receipt of a valid invoice.
The university does not bind itself to accept the lowest bid and reserves the right to accept the whole or part of any bid. Evaluation is based on a two-stage process: functionality and BBEEE component, using an 80/20 preference point system.
Bidders must be CIDB-graded SO3 and SO4 only. Mandatory returnable documents include RFQ document, company registration, SARS tax compliance, PIRB registration, CoIDA letter of good standing, ID copies of directors, board resolution, CIDB grading certificate, and public liability cover of R500,****.
Penalties for service deficiencies will be charged at a daily rate of 1% of the total invoice value for each pending service deficiency.
Incomplete or late submissions will not be evaluated. Any false declaration, misrepresentation, fronting practice, fraud or misstatement may result in disqualification, cancellation of contract, reporting to relevant authorities and/or restriction.
