Invitation to tender for the supply of motors to various peaking power stations for a period of five years. Tenders are to be submitted electronically via the Eskom e-tendering site by 09 July 2026 at 10:00. A non-compulsory clarification meeting will be held on 09 June 2026 at 13:00 via MS Teams. Late tenders will not be accepted. The tender validity period is 150 days from the closing date. Eskom reserves the right to award per commodity, region, or a combination thereof, or to one or multiple suppliers. Tenderers must meet eligibility criteria and not have a conflict of interest. Alternative tenders are not allowed. There will be no public opening of tenders.

For contracts valued below R50,000,000 (including VAT), Eskom pays within 30 days of receipt of undisputed invoices. For contracts above R50,000,000 (including VAT), Eskom pays within 60 days of receipt of undisputed invoices.
Tenderers will be ranked by applying preferential point scoring for the 90/10 or 80/20 system. Eskom will add the score from pricing and specific goals together and rank suppliers from highest to lowest. The lowest acceptable tender will be used to determine the applicable preference system.
Tenderers must meet eligibility criteria, including not being under any restriction to do business with Eskom or state-owned companies, and not having the nationality of a country on any international sanctions list. Tenderers must also not have a conflict of interest. Eskom will disqualify tenderers that are found not to have met the eligibility criteria.
A non-compulsory clarification meeting will take place on 09 June 2026 at 13:00 via Microsoft Teams. Tenderers must confirm their intention to attend with the Eskom representative.
Tenders submitted late, tenders submitted by a joint venture without a joint and several liability clause, tenders with a conflict of interest, tenders signed by unauthorized persons, tenders from restricted entities, or tenders where 100% of the scope is subcontracted may be disqualified.
