Repair Services Tenders

The closing date for tender submissions is 10 July 2026 at 12:00.

Tenders shall be evaluated in terms of the Cape Agulhas Municipality Price: 80, Supply Chain Management Policy Specific Goals: 20. Preferential procurement: A BBBEE status level contributor: 10, B Locality of supplier: 10. Total points: 100.

Tenderers are required to be registered on the accredited supplier database CSD. It is estimated that contractors should have a CIDB grading of 1 GB or higher.

Should the tenderer withdraw its accepted tender prior to the expiry of the validity period, or refuse to accept and honour any order, the tenderer will pay R2,**** as a penalty.

Tenders may be rejected if not in compliance with specifications, incomplete, or if the bidder has failed to clarify or submit supporting documentation. Bidders indebted to the municipality for more than three months may be disqualified.

Tender closing date is 23 July 2026 at 12:00.

Payment will be made on successful delivery of goods, invoice and statement of account. CPG partners must be paid within 3 working days after the main service provider has been paid.

Evaluation is based on price and preference goals, with 80 points for price and 20 points for preference goals.

Bidders must attend a compulsory briefing session, have company experience in HVAC maintenance (at least 2 projects of R450,000+ in the last 10 years), and experienced key personnel. A minimum of 70 points is required in the functionality evaluation.

The tenderer will be liable for any penalties applied by the employer for failure to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.

A compulsory site briefing will be held on 7th of July 2026 at 11:00 AM at Umgeni-uThukela Water Head Office, 310 Burger Street, Pietermaritzburg.

Persons aggrieved by tender award decisions may lodge an appeal within 7 days of the date of the intention to award advertisement.

Disqualification can occur for infringements of confidentiality, corruption, bribery, impropriety, non-compliance with contact policy, submission of incorrect or misleading information, or changes in company composition without prior consent.

Quotations must be submitted by 23 June 2026 at 11:00 am.

Supplier to indicate warranty on parts supplied.

The evaluation criteria are divided into 2 stages: Stage 1 a: Supply Chain Administrative Compliance, Stage 1 b: Mandatory Requirement, and Stage 2: 80/20 price and preference point system.

Approved Retail Motor Industry (RMI) service provider. Submit proof of accreditation certificate.

Failure to complete and sign compulsory returnable SBD forms shall result in the tender being considered non-responsive and rejected. Incorrect or outdated information on the CSD may be a cause for disqualification.
