The completion period is 15 calendar days from commencement date as stated in the bid notice.

The department undertakes to pay the service provider within 30 days from the date of receipt of the correct invoice as stated in the bid notice.

The defects liability period is 3 months from date of practical completion as stated in the bid notice.

Bids will be evaluated in terms of the revised preferential procurement regulations of 2022 where the **** preference point system shall be applied as stated in the bid notice.

The service provider must demonstrate completion of at least 1 similar project minimum 150m each in the past eight 8 years as stated in the bid notice.

Penalties will be applied in respect of late completion of work as stated in the bid notice.

A compulsory site briefing will be held on March 19, 2026, as stated in the bid notice.

Sealed tenders must be placed in the tender box at the Hantam municipality at 20 dr nelson mandela rd, calvinia before 12:00 on Wednesday 8th October 2025.

The tender fee is nonrefundable and is payable in cash or by electronic transfer. Cheques will not be accepted.

Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the applicable preferential point scoring system as set out in the councils supply chain management policy.

Certified copies of identity documents IDs of all shareholders owners partners of bidding companies must be submitted with the bid document. No tender will be considered from a person or company who, for the past five years has been convicted of fraud, corruption, or any criminal offense, or striking, premature termination or unsuccessful completion of any government contracts. No bids will be considered from persons in the service of the state as defined in the municipal supply chain management regulations.

A compulsory site visit/clarification meeting with representatives of the employer and the engineer will take place at the offices of hantam municipalitys offices at kerk street, nieuwoudtville on tuesday 16 september 2025 starting at 11h00, whereafter a site inspection of the site will take place.
