Exterior Tenders

The contract period is 20 days from the date of acceptance.

Payment shall be made promptly by the purchaser, but in no case later than thirty 30 days after submission of an invoice or claim by the supplier.

The supplier warrants that the goods supplied under the contract are new, unused, of the most recent or current models, and that they incorporate all recent improvements in design and materials. This warranty shall remain valid for twelve 12 months after the goods have been delivered to and accepted at the final destination.

Bids will be evaluated based on the 80/20 preference point system. Price will be awarded 80 points, and specific goals will be awarded 20 points.

Potential bidders are urged to submit a full CSD report, statement of municipal account, and proof of residence. Municipal rates and taxes of the renderer must be paid where the business has its head or regional office, and a rates clearance certificate not older than 3 months must be submitted. The latest full CSD report not older than 3 months is also required.

In the event that the service provider fails to deliver as specified in the specifications, the employer may withhold 10% of the invoice amount.

There will be no site inspection for this project.

Failure to submit required attachments, including a full CSD report, statement of municipal account, proof of residence, and rates clearance certificate, will lead to disqualification. Bids will not be considered from persons in the service of the state or those listed on the register of tender defaulters.

Bids must be delivered by the stipulated time to the correct address. Late bids will not be accepted for consideration. The closing date and time is 17 June 2026, at 11:00 am.

This bid will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system. 80 for price and 20 for preferential specific goals.

The bidder must be registered as a vendor on the national treasury central supply database (CSD). The bidder must be in good standing with SARS. SBD 1 (Invitation to bid) and SBD 4 (Declaration of interest) must be completed and signed. Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases (COIDA) and CIDB grading of 1GB or higher are required.

A compulsory site briefing will be held on 11 June 2026 at 11:00 am at 29 Canal Quay, Point Waterfront, Durban.

A bidder shall be disqualified from bidding if any attempt is made either directly to solicit and/or canvass any information from any employee or agent of Ithala regarding this quotation. Failure to provide any mandatory information as requested will result in the submission being deemed nonresponsive.

Quotations must be deposited in the bid box, at the offices of the emalahleni municipality, 37 Indwe road, cacadu, **** not later than 11 june 2026 at 12h00.

The bid will be adjudicated in accordance with the municipality supply chain management policy and the specific goal preferential procurement will be based on the 80/20 point system.

The bidder must achieve a minimum of 50 points in functionality to advance to the next stage of evaluation. Bidders must submit a company registration certificate, tax compliance status document, all directors certified ID copies, proof of full central supplier database registration, and municipal rates and taxes clearance certificate.

Failure to submit a municipal rates and taxes clearance certificate or lease agreement will result in disqualification. Late, telegraphic, facsimile, incomplete or unsigned bids will not be considered. Failure to complete all the supplementary information will result in bidder being deemed non-responsive.

All quotations must be emailed to ***@***. *. * by not later than 12h00 on 05 June 2026.

Value for money will be the key determinant.

Quotations are hereby invited from suitably qualified service providers. Bidders will not be considered if not registered on the Central Supplier Database or if any of the directors are in the service of the state.

Failure to submit mandatory documents will lead to the quotation being regarded as nonresponsive. Any unsigned alterations in the BOQ/quotation/pricing schedule to the tender document shall render the submission invalid. No corrected, faxed, hand delivered, incomplete and late quotation will be accepted.
