EWSETA is seeking a reputable marketing and communications agency or independent consultant to provide interim marketing and strategic communications management services for a three-month period, starting April 1, 2026. The role involves managing strategic communication, public relations, events, and marketing to enhance EWSETA's profile and position it as a skills development authority. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing communication strategies, managing stakeholder engagement, overseeing digital platforms, and coordinating events. Bidders must have extensive experience in marketing and communications. The evaluation will follow an 80/20 preference point system, with 80 points for price and 20 for specific goals (B-BBEE status). A minimum technical functionality score of 75% is required. All inquiries should be in writing.
The contract period is for three months, starting from 1 April 2026. The closing date for submission of bids is Friday, 27 March 2026, at 13:00 PM.
EWSETA undertakes to pay within thirty (30) days of presentation of a duly completed valid tax invoice and supporting documents.
The RFQ will be evaluated in four stages: prequalification criteria (administrative documents), technical functionality evaluation (minimum 75 points), skills assessment (interview), and price and specific goals (80/20 preference point system).
Bidders must have extensive experience in providing the full spectrum of marketing and communications services. Specific experience requirements are detailed in the technical functionality evaluation criteria, including years of experience in marketing, brand management, events, stakeholder engagement, public relations, internal communications, website management, and digital media.
Non-performance will attract penalties as stipulated, including withholding of payments, contract termination, and/or reporting to the National Treasury. Specific penalties are detailed under GCC clause 22 (Penalties).
