Safety Station Tenders

Mandatory technical evaluation includes CVs, proof of qualifications, certifications, Master Installation Electrician (MIE), and applicable plant authorisations. Qualitative evaluation considers resource plans, previous assignments, and lead times. CVs, proof of qualifications, certifications refer to technical tender returnable and employers to ensure the proposal meets the service must be provided for all service resources service requirements.

A o assessment against a mandatory criterion will technically disqualify the tenderer. The minimum weighted final score threshold required for a tenderer to be considered from a technical perspective is 75, as the requirements are not seen as complicated and must be met or it will lead to increased risk.

Tenders are to be submitted electronically via Eskom e-tendering site by the stipulated closing date and time. The closing date and time is 30 July 2026 at 10:00.

For contracts valued below R50 000 000, Eskom is committed to paying suppliers within 30 days of receipt of undisputed invoices. For contracts valued above R50 000 000, Eskom is committed to paying suppliers within 60 days of receipt of undisputed invoices.

Tenderers will be ranked by applying the preferential point scoring for the 80/20 system. Eskom will add the score from pricing and specific goals together and rank the suppliers from the highest to the lowest.

Tenderers must meet the eligibility criteria stated in the tender data. The tenderer, or any of its principals, must not be under any restriction to do business with Eskom or state-owned companies.

Eskom will apply a penalty of 1% of the contract value for failure to meet SDLI obligations. For the duration of the contract, Eskom will retain 1% of every invoice excluding VAT as security for the fulfilment of all SDLI obligations.

A compulsory/non-compulsory clarification meeting/site visit with representatives of Eskom will take place as follows: None.

Tenderers are ineligible to submit a tender if they have the nationality of a country on any international sanctions list, submit more than one tender, have a conflict of interest, or submit tenders signed by non-authorised persons.

Bids must be submitted on or before Friday, 26th of June 2026, by 11:00.

The evaluation will be based on a 90/10 split for price and specific goals, with a minimum functionality threshold of 70 points.

Bidders must be registered on the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality supplier database, be in good standing with PSIRA, and have proven track record and social responsibility record.

Penalties are applicable for various failures, including failure to have working radio communication, failure to cloak, late posting, failure to be in uniform, and negligent failure to safeguard assets.

Bidders must be prepared for Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality security team to visit the head office to verify standards.

Bidders will be disqualified if they fail to meet the minimum threshold for functionality, submit fake documents, or if their bid is late.
