Bids must be deposited in the tender box situated at the reception: Civic Centre, 2 Kingfisher Road, Mandeni no later than 12:00, on Friday, 3rd of July 2026.

The Mandeni Municipality does not bind itself to accepting the lowest bid, either wholly or in part or give any reason for such action.

Only bidders who are registered with CIDB in a contractor grading of 1SH or higher will be eligible to bid. Only bidders registered on Central Supply Database (CSD) will be considered.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representatives of the employer will take place at the Tugela Community Hall, Mandeni on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, starting at 12:00 thereafter proceeding to the site.

Failure to attend the compulsory clarification meeting with the bid document will disqualify the tender. Bidders that do not bring the document to the briefing will be disqualified.

The grass cutting services are required for a period up to 30 June 2029.

This tender will be evaluated in terms of the preferential procurement regulations, 2022 and Drakenstein Municipality's supply chain management policy and its preferential procurement policy. Procurement preference point system: 80/20.

Bidders must be registered on Drakenstein Municipality's supplier database if they wish to conduct business with the municipality. The tax status requirements as per MBD 1 part B must be complied with. No contract will be awarded to any bidder that is not deemed tax compliant at the date of award.

A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on 04 June 2026 at 14:00 at 1 Market Street, Hoog en Droog, 1st floor room 111. Bidders that fail to attend the compulsory clarification meeting will be disqualified. Bidders that arrive after the starting time of the compulsory clarification meeting as indicated, will be disqualified.

Bids submitted must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bid number, placed in the tender box 1 before closing time. Failure will result in the bid being invalid.
