This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) from Amatola Water for the maintenance of an admin minisubstation and the replacement of an underground low voltage supply cable at Nahoon Dam Water Works. The closing date for submissions is 21 May 2026 at 11:00 AM. A compulsory site briefing will be held on 13 May 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Nahoon Dam Boathouse. No emailed submissions will be accepted. Bidders must complete and submit various forms including SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6. 1, Form A, Form B, and B-BBEE certificates. The evaluation will be in three phases: mandatory requirements, capability requirements, and PPPFA and specific goals. Payments will be made according to Amatola Water's finance policies. Insurance requirements include public liability and motor vehicle third-party insurance. Contractors must sign an indemnity form before entering the site. Communication and instructions will be via email or letter, with verbal communication to be confirmed in writing. Contractors must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislation. A SHE file must be submitted for approval after award. Pricing must be firm and include transport. VAT must be included but shown separately. The bid is subject to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, with an 80/20 preference points system applicable.
The bid response documents must be deposited in the bid box at Amatola House, 6 Lancaster Road, Vincent, East London, not later than the closing date and time specified on the cover page and SBD 1, which is 21 May 2026 at 11:00 AM.
The bid notice states that invoices will not be accepted for items and quantities that do not have a data sheet signed off by the supervisor, and payments will be made by Amatola Water as per finance policies.
