Bidders must be registered with the Electrical Contractors Board (ECB) or the Department of Labour as an electrical contractor and provide a valid certificate. They must also show proof of similar work done on conveyor systems in the past 2 years, with a value of at least R400k. the contractor must show proof that they are registered with Electrical Contractors Board ecb or department of labour as an electrical contrcator, by technical functional attaching a valid electrical contractors certificate

Respondents failing to attend the compulsory RFQ briefing will be disqualified. Failure to provide mandatory returnable documents at the closing date and time will result in disqualification. Respondents failing to attend the compulsory rfq briefing will be disqualified.

The contract duration will be three 3 months from the date of award, on a fixed term basis, including a leadtime of 5 days for site establishment.

The bidder must submit a minimum of two 2 signed trade reference letters from existing, previous clients, on the clients letterhead and must not be dated older than 6 months. The bidder must submit a full SHE safety file. The bidder must confirm that should they be awarded business they have an established office within a 50km 80km radius in relation to the transnet site. The bidder provides proof of ownership or lease of all frontend loaders. The bidder must prove their ability to supply all equipment and related services through conformance to scope of work. The bidder must prove their ability to provide onsite technical support. The bidder must provide proof of inhouse training. The bidder to submit a comprehensive business continuity plan.

TPT reserves the right to carry out technical site visits of the preferred bidders at any time without giving prior notice to that preferred bidders.

Should that preferred bidder fail to provide the required equipment frontend loaders the bidder may be eliminated from further participation in the tender.
