The bid of any bidder may be rejected if that bidder, or any of its directors have abused the municipality’s supply chain management system, been convicted for fraud or corruption, willfully neglected to comply with any public sector contract, or been listed in the register for tender defaulters.

The bid documents must be submitted before the closing date and time indicated on the cover page of the RFQ, which is 10 June 2026 at 11:00 AM.

The bid notice states that all payments due to creditors for goods delivered or services rendered will be settled within thirty (30) days from receipt of an invoice, unless stated otherwise in this RFQ or mutually agreed upon by both parties prior to award of the RFQ.

The bidder must provide a confirmation letter for a 12-month warranty on workmanship.

The RFQ will be awarded to the bidder scoring the highest points, based on price and specific goals, subject to Section 21F of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, ****.

Bidders must be registered on the CSD and have a CIDB 1GB or higher registration. They must also attend the compulsory site briefing and provide confirmation of a 12-month warranty on workmanship.

A compulsory site briefing will be held at the Irene Weather Office on 03 June 2026 at 11:00 AM.

The bid may be rejected if it is not according to specifications, incomplete, or if the bidder has committed a proven corrupt or fraudulent act. Failure to provide required documentation or comply with any of the particulars may render the bid invalid.

The RFQ is for requirements up to R500 000.
