This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) from Amatola Water for the review and updating of water safety plans. The closing date for submissions is March 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Bids must be submitted in person to the bid box at Amatola House. Emailed submissions will not be accepted. The evaluation will be in two phases: mandatory requirements and then capability requirements, followed by evaluation on the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) and specific goals using the 80/20 preference points system. Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and have their tax matters in order. The contract period is eight months. Professional indemnity and public liability insurance are required. Disputes will be settled by mediation and arbitration.
The bid response documents must be deposited in the bid box at Amatola House, 6 Lancaster Road, Vincent, East London, not later than the closing date and time specified on the cover page and SBD 1, which is March 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Late bids will not be accepted.
Amounts due to the service provider shall be paid by the employer within thirty (30) days of the employer receiving payment by the relevant funding institutions.
This bid will be evaluated in two phases: Phase One: Mandatory Requirements, and Phase Two: Bidders passing all stages above will thereafter be evaluated on PPPFA and specific goals. The 80/20 preference points system will be applied, with 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals.
Bidders proposals must meet minimum requirements including Form A: Authority to Sign, Form B: Schedule of previous similar contracts, SBD1: Invitation to Bid, SBD4: Bidders Disclosure, and SBD3. 1: Pricing Schedule Firm Prices. For capability requirements, bidders must demonstrate company experience with developing water safety plans and knowledge of relevant standards, and provide qualified personnel including engineers, technologists, and scientists registered with relevant bodies.
