This tender is for the provision of routine and safety maintenance on various roads within the Camperdown Zone, Mpumalanga Area Office. The duration of the project is 36 months. Tenderers must have a minimum CIDB contractor grading designation of 8CE or higher. A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on Friday, 17 April 2026, at 10:00 at the Department of Transport Cost Centre, Transporter Bay, No. 1 Woodlands Road, Mountain Rise, Pietermaritzburg. Tenders must be submitted as both an electronic and hard copy by 11:00 on Monday, 18 May 2026. Late submissions will not be considered. Appeals regarding the award of this bid should be lodged within 5 working days from the date of the publication of bid results.

The evaluation of tender offers will be based on administrative compliance, price and preference in accordance with the preferential procurement regulations, 2022, the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport (KZNDOT) interim preferential procurement policy January 2023, as amended and the CIDB inform practice note 5, version 3 September 2020, or as amended.
Only tenderers that satisfy the eligibility criteria stipulated in clause C. 2. 1 of the tender data are eligible to have their tenders considered. Tenders must have a minimum CIDB contractor grading designation of 8CE or higher.
A penalty shall be applied to any shortfall in the local labour content achieved when measured against the specified minimum local labour content, as set out in Part E: Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) of the Project Specifications.
A compulsory clarification meeting with representatives of the employer will take place at Department of Transport Cost Centre Transporter Bay, No. 1 Woodlands Road, Mountain Rise, Pietermaritzburg on Friday, 17 April 2026, starting at 10:00. No latecomers will be admitted.
