This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the servicing and calibration of gauges on a once-off basis at PRASA in East London, Eastern Cape. The closing date for submissions is 15 May 2026 at 12:00 PM. Bidders must be SANAS accredited to ISO/IEC **** for the relevant calibration scope and provide traceable calibration certificates. Tax compliance and CSD registration are mandatory. The evaluation will be based on an 80/20 preference points system, with 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals (e. g. , EME, Black Owned). Late bids will not be accepted. The bid response documents must reach PRASA before the closing hour on the date shown on SBD1, which is 15 May 2026. Delivery will be affected within the earliest delivery period offered by the supplier, or within a specified number of working days from the date of order if a contract is awarded.
PRASA pays for the item within 30 days of receipt of the supplier's correct tax invoice.
The supplier warrants that the items are in accordance with PRASA's requirements and fit for the purpose for which they are intended, and will remain free from defects for a period of one year unless another period is stated in the order from acceptance of the items by PRASA.
PRASA reserves the right to award business to the highest scoring bidders unless objective criteria justify the award to another respondent. The evaluation methodology includes Stage 1 (compliance requirements) and Stage 2 (price and specific goals), with price weighted at 80% and specific goals at 20%.
Bidders must be SANAS accredited to ISO/IEC **** for the relevant calibration scope and provide traceable calibration certificates. Mandatory returnable documents include a price schedule, submission register, valid SANAS ISO/IEC **** accreditation certificate, company registration documents, copies of directors' ID documents, a valid tax clearance certificate with SARS issued PIN, CSD supplier registration number, proof of bank account, and completion of all RFQ documentation.
Late deliveries or late completion of items may be subject to a penalty if this is imposed in the order contract.
