The Greater Kokstad Municipality is seeking a service provider to supply and deliver a ride-on road marking machine with a booster and provide training on its use. The machine is needed due to the current one being old and out of service. Bids will be evaluated in two stages: functionality (60 points) and price and specific goals (80/20 system). Mandatory returnable documents include MBD forms, CSD report, and proof of municipal rates and taxes. Bidders must ensure tax compliance. Delivery is required within 14 days of receiving a purchase order. A minimum 12-month warranty is required. Penalties will be applied for failure to meet contractual obligations. The project timeframe for supply, delivery, and training is within 30 days of receiving the award letter. Bids are valid for 120 days.
The delivery lead time is within 14 days from the date of receipt of the official purchase order.
Payment will be secured after successfully receiving the ride on road marking machine with booster and when all training has been completed.
A minimum 12-month warranty is required, and the supplier must repair or replace defective components within 10 working days.
Bids will be evaluated in stages: Stage 1 for functionality (minimum 36 points required) and Stage 2 based on the 80/20 preferential point system (80 points for price, 20 points for specific goals).
Bidders must submit mandatory returnable documents, ensure tax compliance, and achieve at least 36 points for functionality.
Failure to meet contractual obligations may result in written warnings, penalties, invoice deductions, or termination of the contract.
Prospective service providers may be requested to supply samples to the municipality to enable verification of SABS and SANS specifications.
Bidders must, within fourteen days of the publication of the intention to award, deliver written notification of an intention to appeal or deliver a request for written reasons for the intention to award.
Failure to submit complete and correct mandatory documents, non-compliance with tax obligations, or failure to meet functionality requirements can lead to disqualification.
