The Stellenbosch Municipality is inviting tenders for a waste management bin lift counting and tag reading service. Tenders must be submitted on the official tender document, valid for 180 days after the closing date (September 1, 2025, 12h00). A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on August 8, 2025, at 10h00. Tenders must be accompanied by the completed tender documents and placed in the designated tender box. The tender will be evaluated based on general conditions of contract, supply chain management policy, relevant specifications, and the Stellenbosch preferential procurement policy (80/20 points system). Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and have a compliant tax status. Tender documents are available online or in hard copy (with a fee). The municipality will not contact bidders to request payment in exchange for the award of a tender.
Bids must be delivered by 12h00 on September 1, 2025 to the correct address.
The warranty shall remain valid for twelve (12) months after the goods have been delivered and accepted at the final destination, or for eighteen (18) months after the date of shipment, whichever period concludes earlier.
The tender will be evaluated based on relevant specifications, value for money, capability to execute the contract, and adherence to the PPPFA associated regulations.
Tenderers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and have a compliant tax status.
If the supplier fails to deliver within the specified periods, the purchaser may deduct from the contract price, as a penalty, a sum calculated on the delivered price of the delayed goods or unperformed services using the current prime interest rate calculated for each day of the delay.
A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on August 8, 2025, at 10h00.
