Single bed mattresses have a 2year guarantee. Single beds have a 20 years service warrantee.

Points are allocated based on the **** system, considering price, BBEE status, and locality.

Tenderers must submit proof for preference points, including BBEE certificates/affidavits and locality proof.

Failure to comply with conditions will invalidate the quote.

Bids may be rejected if the bidder or directors have abused the SCM system or committed improper conduct.

Suppliers are requested to offer their earliest delivery period possible. Delivery will be affected within the specified working days from the date of order.

PRASA pays for the item within 30 days of receipt of the supplier's correct tax invoice.

The supplier warrants that the items are in accordance with PRASA's requirements and fit for the purpose for which they are intended, and will remain free from defects for a period of one year unless another period is stated in the order from acceptance of the items by PRASA.

PRASA will utilise a price and specific goals evaluation criteria, with a weighting of 80% for price and 20% for specific goals.

Bidders must submit a company registration document, copies of directors' ID documents, a valid tax clearance certificate, a CSD supplier registration number, and proof of bank account. Joint venture agreements are required if applicable.

Late deliveries or late completion of items may be subject to a penalty if imposed in the order contract.

Failure to provide mandatory returnable documents, non-compliance with tax obligations, not being registered on the CSD, or submitting incomplete bids can lead to disqualification.

The bid documents must be deposited in the bid box at the municipal offices no later than 12:00 on 23 June 2026.

The method and conditions of payment to be made to the supplier under this contract shall be specified. Payments shall be made promptly by the purchaser, but in no case later than thirty 30 days after submission of an invoice or claim by the supplier.

The supplier warrants that the goods supplied under the contract are new, unused, of the most recent or current models, and that they incorporate all recent improvements in design and materials unless provided otherwise in the contract. The warranty shall remain valid for twelve 12 months after the goods have been delivered and accepted.

The 80/20 preference point system shall be applicable during the evaluation and adjudication of this bid proposal, considering price and specific goals.

Only service providers registered in the Central Supplier Database (CSD) will be considered. Attach proof of registration; failure to attach will result in your bid not being evaluated further. Members or directors of companies or service providers who are state employees are not allowed to bid or quote.

Subject to GCC clause 25, if the supplier fails to deliver any or all of the goods or to perform the services within the periods specified in the contract, the purchaser shall, without prejudice to its other remedies under the contract, deduct from the contract price, as a penalty, a sum calculated on the delivered price of the delayed goods or unperformed services using the current prime interest rate calculated for each day of the delay until actual delivery or performance.

Samples to be submitted to bid evaluation committee before finalization of evaluation process.

Aggrieved unsuccessful bidders will be allowed to lodge, within fourteen 14 days of the decision or action, a written objection or complaint to the office of the municipal manager.

Bidders that fail to submit copies will be disqualified. Failure to attach proof of CSD registration will result in your bid not evaluated further. Failure to submit one copy will result in disqualification.

The bidder should be available to start with the exercise immediately upon award.

The bid notice states “the payment term is within 30 days from date of receipt of invoice. ”

The quotation will firstly be evaluated on eligibility, which includes compliance to the scope of work. If found to be eligible it will be evaluated according to functionality if applicable and furthermore be evaluated according to PPPFA 80/20 price specific goal preference point system associated regulations.

The bidder must be registered with the construction industry development board in a minimum grading of 2GB/2CE or higher.

A compulsory briefing will be held on March 17, 2026, at Inanda Dam.

The service providers may be required to make presentations, supply samples, and provide further information or clarification.

The clarification meeting closing date is March 25, 2026, at 16:00.
