This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) from Knysna Municipality for the supply and delivery of bedding sand and G5 selected granular fill material. The total value of the RFQ will not exceed R300,****, and only one service provider will be appointed. Quotations must be on company letterhead, signed, and remain valid for 90 days. Municipal bidding documents (MBD1, MBD4, MBD6. 1, MBD8, MBD9) must be completed. Payment terms are 30 days after delivery and acceptance of goods and services. The quotation will be evaluated according to the 80/20 preference points system. Suppliers must be registered on the municipality's accredited supplier database and the CSD. Delivery is expected within 5 working days from receipt of the official purchase order.

Bidders must submit bids on the official forms provided, not retyped or in a manner not prescribed in the bid document. The bid is subject to the preferential procurement policy framework act, **** and the preferential procurement regulation 2022, the general conditions of contract gcc and, if applicable, any other special conditions of contract. The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a written contract form sbd7. Bidders must ensure compliance with their tax obligations and submit their unique personal identification number (PIN) issued by SARS. Consortia, joint ventures, and subcontractors must submit separate TCS certificates. Bids will not be considered from persons in the service of the state, companies with directors who are persons in the service of the state, or close corporations with members who are persons in the service of the state. Only firm prices will be accepted. All delivery costs must be included in the bid price. The bid must comply with the specifications. The offer must be valid for 180 days from the closing date of the bid. The contract period will be 36 months. The department reserves the right to conduct inspections of the production process, the product, and the premises of the supplier without prior notification. Deviations will result in rejection of the whole consignment. The department reserves the right to verify any information supplied by the bidder. The department will verify supplier compliance on the central supplier database report. The award of the bid may be subjected to price negotiation with the preferred bidders. The department further reserves the right to reject all or individual items of this bid and/or award all or individual items of this bid. Bidders must quote for all categorized items. Failure to comply with any of these requirements may render the bid invalid. The contract shall be concluded between the Limpopo department of social development and the successful service providers. Individual items must be wrapped in solid packaging. Items must be grouped and wrapped according to type and form to avoid spillage and subsequent damage. Damaged or broken groceries will not be accepted. Groceries must have an allowance of at least six 6 months before expiry of their shelf life. All prices charged should be inclusive of business overheads and VAT. No delivery shall be made prior to receipt of an official purchase order. Delivery of items shall take place within 14 calendar days of issuing of an official purchase order. Part deliveries are not accepted, except where prior written arrangement is made. Persistent failure to deliver and deviation from the specification will ultimately lead to cancellation of the contract. Invoices will only be accepted upon delivery of satisfactory performance. Payments will be effected within thirty 30 days from the date of receipt of the invoice. The department will under no circumstances engage with subcontractors or parties associated with the successful bidder.
